German Phrase of the Day: Die Baby ist ein Junge! = The baby is a boy! When I went to the doctor's office earlier this week we got a really good peek at the baby, and there is no doubt now, it's definitely a boy! I'm excited about this, and although my daughter's initial reaction was "Oh no!" she has come around to the idea now and is actually quite excited to be getting a baby brother. I'm excited that we can now finalize a name, although my husband still isn't comfortable naming this baby yet - I guess we know only too well how many bad things can happen between now and a healthy baby. So for now...we've tabled that.
This page is one I created for the Pretties SIYJ party Tuesday night (technically Wednesday morning for me!) The final challenge issued by Charmaine was to create a 6 by 6 scrapbook page. The picture is from an earlier ultrasound when I was still only about 13 weeks along, and I knew this sentiment from Cooper's Look out World would be perfect, and stamped it in Blue Bayou ink! I used SU!'s Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Whisper White cardstocks, along with the Soft Sky and Blue Bayou double stitched ribbons. The little tag was made with the tag corner punch, and I added a silver eyelet to tie the silver cord through for attaching to the ribbon since I have no silver jump rings. I finished off the card with these adorable silver brads from the SU! Silver hph kit that was in the Occasions mini. I've left some space under the photo to add some journaling, although I think I'll wait until we've finalized the name for that.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
