LLWWC49: Shakin' things up!

Today in LaLa Land we're shaking things up a bit, with Shaker Cards, this week's challenge from Maureen. I have to admit it's been a long time since I've made a shaker card, but this was quite fun! Be sure to visit the LaLa Land blog to see all the shaker cards the team has made, and to enter your own shaker card for a chance to win!
For my card this week I used this adorable Santa LaLa, colored with copics. I added some light blue microbeads inside the shaker to simulate snow. Super fun, huh??
Have a great week everyone...and I hope to see YOUR LaLa creations soon!

PWC112: Puttin' on the Glitter!

Happy Hump Day everyone! I had a wonderful time in Germany, and am slowly getting readjusted to normal life. And hey...I even managed to stamp! This week's Paper Pretties Weekly challenge comes from Heather, and we get to use Glitter!! I love glitter, but rarely use it because it makes such a mess and I end up getting it all over myself, the house, and my child! But today, I glittered with GLEE!! If you didn't start out at the new Paper Pretties Blog, be sure to head back there and see all the great glittered projects everyone has for you today.
For my project I used the adorable Mermaid Sophia, colored her with my copics then added the glitter. Isn't she the cutest?
I hope you have a great day, and head on over top see what Jane's got for you all today!

PWC111: Non traditional Chrismas Colors!

Jackie challenged the Prettie Girls to make a Christmas card using non-traditional Christmas colors this week - how fun!! Be sure to follow along the hop, and if you didn't get here from Jackie's, head on back to the new Paper Pretties blog so you don't miss a thing!! And, you can also participate in this week's challenge and WIN a great stamp...see all the details at the Paper Pretties blog!
I used this adorable snow couple Snowy Snuggles to create my pink and blue card. I also used some fun new glitter dots and the cool antiquing tool! You can check all these things and more in the Prettie boutique. And don't forget our new faster, cheaper shipping!!!
Ok, now keep on hopping to see what Jane's got for you today.

LLWWC48: Upcycle it!

This week's challenge comes to us from Cheryl Valdez, a recent (and fabulous!) addition to the LaLa team!! She challenged us to Upcycle something we would otherwise throw away. Cool huh?? I chose a General Food International House Coffee tin that I've had sitting around to alter (I mean, who can throw those adorable little tins away??) and turned it into a fun little holder for halloween treats using Pumpkin LaLa. Isn't she adorable??
Since I'm pre-posting, I'm not sure which set will be on sale this week, so be sure to hit the LaLa Land blog for all the details, and get to creating YOUR upcycle'd project so you can be our next winner!!

LLWWC47: black and whtie and something all over!

This week our Luvn Mama has challenged us all to create a black and white card with just one additional color. Now, I'm not sure if that meant even for coloring, but I hope not since I did use some E and R copic colors to color in my image.
I love this Swinging LaLa, she's just so fun!! I pieced her dress with some great Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper, which I also used for the layering. I used some Taken with Teal cs for the scalloped layer behind LaLa, and the rest is just black and white. I hope you'll play along with us this week - you could win a $10 shopping spree in the LaLa Land Boutique if you link up your card featuring a LaLa Land stamp!! How fun is that?!?
And since Mama used Bubble LaLa, she will be 20% off all week long!! Get shoppin' and get stampin'!

PWC110: Silver and Gold!

I got to challenge the Pretties this week, and I was thinking of Christmas in July and singing Burl Ives' version of Silver and Gold (think of the snowman in the old clay-mation version of Rudolph!) Mixing metals is VERY challenging to me - I never do this!!! So...what better to challenge the pretties with?!  If you didn't get here from Jackie's blog, be sure to head back to Frances so you don't miss any of the fun.
For today's card I used the super fun Season of Joy stamp set seeing as how the challenge has a bit of a Christmas theme to it. I used the cool aging tool to sponge some ink on the edges after cutting it out with my nesties, and coloring it with copic markers. I used some SU! DSP on my 4 by 6 white card that was scored every 1/2" using my score-pal to give the look of wood paneling. The sliver ribbon is like a chair rail. I then added some gold brads to the main image, and some gold organdy ribbon to the sentiment.
The Paper Pretties Boutique has some great new stuff, including the new Oliver and Olivia lines of Basic Grey paper and matching brads, etc. Be sure to go check it out, along with the super stamp sale going on right now!
And hop along to Jane's blog to see what she's come up with for this week's challenge!

Hello my Pretties, I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend (at least you Pretties here in the US!) Jackson and I had fun at a friend's house while Julia and Phil were enjoying the lovely Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Don't forget we're hopping as usual, so you should have arrived here from Jackie's blog, if not head on back to Frances to start off! I used the super fun Home Sweet Home stamp set, I love this townhouse/apartment house image! I colored it with copics as usual and then used some basic grey paper for the dp.

LLWWC46: Step-cards (but they're not ugly!)

Kristine Breach is BACK from her break, and gave us a fabulous challenge this week - to make a step card. There are a few different kinds out there, but I choose to do the Stair Step card following the SCS tutorial. It was lots of fun to make! Our nanny's mother had a birthday this week, so Nanny J. needed a card for her and this is what we came up with! Sweet LaLa was colored to look like Nanny J. so I got to practice making brown hair and eyes!
We'd love to have you all play along with us this week. Make your own step card featuring one of our super fun LaLa Land stamps and then head over to the LaLa Land Crafts blog to link up your creation. And, since Kristine is using LaLa On a Swing, that great stamp is on sale for 20% off all week!!!
