I'm sorry to say, this is my last official post as a Prettie Girl! I've had so much fun with this group of ladies over the last 3 years, I've made some wonderful friendships that I know will continue for years to come! And boy, do I have an amazing collection of almost EVERY Sophia and Cooper stamp ever made!! :-D
This week's Prettie Weekly Challenge is to create a more masculine card. Of course that meant I had to use Cooper, and I love this new Sledding Cooper heading down the hill. Makes me think of when I was little growing up in Maine and going Tobogganing with my dad and siblings! I also used this week's Mojo Monday sketch #169 for my layout.
I added some snowflakes cut with the Let it Snowflake Die-Namic from My Favorite Things (LOVE their dies!!) with an SU! button on top (tied with some fun tinsel string!) Now to play along with us, just create your OWN masculine or boy card and link it up on the Paper Pretties blog. YOU could win a fabulous stamp set. And while you don't have to use Paper Pretties' stamps to play, you'll get an extra entry into the random drawing if you do...so pull out those Coopers and get to work!
And now, I'll leave you today with the VERY FIRST card I made using the Paper Pretties stamps with one of the first 2 Sophias ever released. I STILL love this Snowflake Kisses set. I hope you enjoy!

Yo-ho-ho and a ton of new STAMPS!
Happy Friday everyone! I'm so excited to present Pirate Cooper, one of 10 amazing new stamp sets being released TODAY by Paper Pretties! There are so many fun new fall/Halloween themed sets being released, there's something for everyone! We're hopping along, so if you didn't just arrive from Jackie's blog, head on back to the beginning at Cindy's place!
I was thrilled to get to use Pirate Cooper for today's card, because my little guy LOVES pirates. If you ask him "what does a pirate say?" he responds with "aaaaahhhhhh" (which is as close to argh as he can get so far!) And, in just over a week he's having a Pirate themed birthday party to celebrate turning 2.
For this card, I colored Cooper in with my copics (of course) and used that fun All About Boys DCWV stack of papers and some fun vintage brads that look a little like compasses! And Cooper has a wonderful bird for his parrot - it's an Eclectus parrot - one of my favorites!! And do you like the way I cut the sentiment out and curved it around my oval? I do! :-)
I added another of the sentiments from the set on the inside...this set comes with lots of great greetings!! anyone out there want to WIN this set??? Just leave me a comment before Sunday at 5pm CST and YOU could WIN! Winners will all be announced on the Paper Pretties blog on Sunday night. Good luck!! Now keep on hopping to Jane's blog and see what she's got for you all using an adorable new Sophia!

PWC120: Ribbon Mania!
Today's Paper Pretties Weekly Challenge was issued by me - to use 3 different ribbons on your card. Now...I love ribbon...but it was challenging even for me to use three different kinds - especially since I wanted a more masculine card today. Alas...I think I did ok. Not a real masculine card, but still good for the ladies who help my little boy so much (his wonderful therapists at California Children's Services!)
I just LOVE Cooper, and this newest Cooper is no exception. Here he is jumping into a big pile of leaves. Growing up in Maine, my brother and I actually did this quite regularly - especially since it was often our job to rake said leaves up anyway.
I wanted a softer look to the pile of leaves, so I decided to watercolor the image this time...that way I could do a simple wash over the pile, then highlight individual leaves with stronger color. I'm quite happy with the result! My three ribbons are chocolate chip wide grosgrain under a moss colored gingham, and then the linen thread I used in the button (that counts as a ribbon in my book!!)
Be sure to head over to the Paper Pretties blog to see all the wonderful creations of the design team today. And upload your be-ribboned card for a chance to win a FREE STAMP SET!!! Lastly, don't forget all these adorable new stamps we're showcasing this week will be available on THIS FRIDAY, September 24th!

Paper Pretties Release day!!
Today is the day that Paper Pretties is releasing 7 new sets, 4 in rubber, and 3 digi images!! Here is my card made with the new I'm Sorry Cooper. Isn't he adorable? I'm sure I'll be getting this look myself in another year or two from my little Jack.
I printed my digital image onto some whisper white cardstock on our laser printer, then colored him in with copics. Do you see the little polka dots I added to the bunny with my colorless blender? Sherrie has been making awesome patterns on her little PI girls lately and I had to try it too!
The dp is from a bag of scraps that Susan Liles mailed to me last week - I was so excited to have some new patterns to play with...THANKS Susan! I layered it onto always artichoke and then some bashful blue.
Now be sure to check all the other Prettie Girl blogs today so you can see all the wonderful new sets that we're releasing, and all the cards will be on the front page of the Paper Pretties site as well. Have a wonderful day, and Happy Shopping!

I've been busy lately with lots of fun things, but I wanted to go back and show you a few valentine's I made for Jackson to give to his friends and therapists. We made this card for his Occupational Therapist. I thought it would be fun to make a tri-fold card with Cooper peeking through to the front. I didn't want it to be square, so I cut an 8.5 by 11 sheet down to 5 by 11, then scored it for a trifold using my scorepal. I stamped Cooper on the inner flap and colored him with my copic markers, then punched the hole for him to peek out of.
I added a scalloped ring of Bermuda Bay cs to the window, and some matching ribbon, then stamped the greetings (with the addition of Happy Valentine's Day from SWAK to the inside) to finish it off. I'm happy to say his therapist loved it!
Don't forget you only have until the 28th (that's this Sunday) to enter all the challenges over at I Dream of Stamping. Each challenge has it's own prize, and we'll have select a grand prize winner from all those people who enter all 5 challenges...so get workin'!

Post Party Prettie Monday
Good morning everyone! Whew...what a fun party, and I missed the first hour because I had the time wrong...sorry!! As usual I spent most of it typing 1-handed with a squirmy baby in my arms, but at least dh was able to play with our 6 yo.
As always, Charlie (Charmaine, otherwise known as Charmwarm) had some great challenges for us this time. I really thought the cartoon character challenge was lots of fun. We were to choose our favorite cartoon character, and make a card using those colors.
I chose Buzz Lightyear. I love the Toy Story movies, and Tim Allen did such a wonderful job bringing Buzz to life. Buzz is mostly white, some green, purple and a tiny bit of red and turquoise. I tried to keep a lot of white on the card, while still including the other colors. It was very fun! Cooper from the new Love You This Much was stamped with Black craft ink onto watercolor paper and colored with my aquapainter and ink pads. Down at the bottom I used some dew drops down by the 2nd half of the sentiment. If you didn't make it to the party, be sure to check out the awesome gallery of projects people made for the challenges...it was loads of fun!
Have a great Monday everyone!

Prettie Wednesday Challenge of 1's
So, here it is...my Challenge of 1's card. 1 image, check. 1 sentiment, check. 1 layer, check. 1 embellishment, check. This one fits the bill.As some of you may remember, this is one of my most favorite Cooper's out there, Beach Bum! (Altho I may have a new favorite soon!!) I love his chunky little belly, especially now since my little guy's belly is even BIGGER. I stamped him with basic black craft ink onto a fabrianno card...then let him dry for a while. I colored him wtih prismacolor pencils, OMS and blending stumps...but must say the craft ink didn't hold up to the OMS too well. Oh well, guess I better stick to my Palette or Memento inks for them. I also added a little "glow" around our little guy here, so it looks like he really is in the sun! I just went around it with my barely banana marker, then used my aquapainter to soften the edges of the line a little. Almost like having Copics! LOL!!
I can't wait until Friday, when I can share with you all a prettie peek of the new stamps we're releasing on Sunday. I am SOOO in love with one of our newest ones...you'll know why immediately. The best thing was my mom actually used one of the phrases when talking to her on the phone this last week...that's how perfect this set is for me...and I know you all will love it too!

In case you've forgotten...our Stamping in your Jammies night is Sunday, March 1st starting at 5pm PST (8pm EST) and will include all kinds of fun like hourly challenges, prizes, and of course, new stamps! And...you have until Saturday (2/28) at 5pm PST to submit your card for the Cutie Pie contest to win all of this month's releases. Just be sure to upload it to the Pretties Gallery to be considered, and good luck!

My little Pumpkin...
Ok...so I said this baby was going to look just like Cooper! It might take him a little while to fill out and get those Cooper-esque chunky cheeks...but could he be any cuter??Here's a project for you all! I made this for the Stamping in your PJ's party on the first, and just loved playing with this new little Cooper from Pick of the Patch which is available now in the Paper Pretties Boutique in cling mounted RUBBER!! WOOHOO!!! I think he's the cutest one yet! It's just a quick little tag, and Coop is colored in with my aquapainter and watercolor crayons. I'm starting to get into those again (or at least I was before my stamping hiatus began on Friday) And the cardstock is Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!Supplies: (all supplies from SU! unless noted)
