Happy Birthday Charmaine!!!

German Phrase of the Day: Wie alt bist du? = How old are you? I won't ask Charmaine if she doesn't want to tell...but from all the photos I've seen I'm guessing she's about 22 - except she has 3 little ones!

Iin honor of Charmaine's Birthday (or Charlie as we affectionately call her!) we're throwing her a Virtual Birthday Party! Be sure to hop around and visit all the blogs listed below, because in addition to lots of Prettie Girls playing, we've also got Michelle from Stamper's Dream joining in the fun!

I got to bring the Party hats! In surfing around looking for fun birthday party hats online, I found this adorable princess theme party hat at Dimples and Dandelions. It's a little more girly than I generally think of Charlie as being, but I couldn't resist all the wonderful textures!

For my card, I started with a regular 5.5 by 4.25" folded card, then cut off one corner and rounded the bottom to make this party hat shaped card with Pretty in Pink cardstock. Next, I covered the front with this wonderful pink with white polka dot paper I picked up a while back, then I added my wonderful white feather boa trim to the bottom and a little at the top with some red-liner tape (I had to switch the colors around since I only had white trim!) Next, I stamped Flutter by Sophia on some Stamper's Select White CS, and again on my polka dot dp. I colored her in with prismacolor pencils - check out that red hair!! Lots of prettie girls have been making red-headed Sophia's lately, and I couldn't resist for Charlie's birthday making a little Strawberry shortcake!! I colored her bracelets, beads and flower with my Spica glitter pens after piecing her dress on. I carefully cut her out with my craft knife (not an easy thing I might add!) and then I stamped her a party hat from my Crab & Company set.

Now, in the detail photo you might be able to see, but I added a few freckles to Sophia this time. I've never met a red-head without a few freckles, and our own little Blondie here has MANY of her own now, so I couldn't resist! Isn't she just the cutest??

We all hope you have a wonderful birthday Charlie, and that you enjoy celebrating your Grandma's birthday as well! This card will be on it's way to you soon.
