Wasting away again in ....

German Phrase of the Day: Der Apfel faellt nicht weit vom Stamm. = The applie doesn't fall far from the tree. Isn't that the truth...my daughter is just as crazy and silly as my husband!!

Ah, Margaritaville! We actually went out for Mexican food this last week (but no margaritas for me!!) Germany FINALLY went smoke-free as of July 1st, so I could actually eat in a restaurant and not feel nauseous! What a treat. ;-) I'm one of those terrible vehemently anti-smoking people. I'm quite thankful that no one in our close family smokes. With Julia, I do whatever I can to keep her away from smoke because of her already compromised lungs. And of course now, I try even harder to keep myself away from the smoke - little baby doesn't need any of that! :-)

Today's card was for the sketch challenge at last week's Pretties SIYJ party. Again, I used that awesome palm tree, and this fun Margarita paper I picked up while in Florida back in February. I layered the paper on some Pumpkin Pie CS, and used that again behind the tree. Then, I added the 3 rhinestone brads to pick up the green in the tree. I'm quite happy with it...and wish I was laying under a lovely palm tree right now!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekends. DH left early this morning - crack of dawn (which is REALLY early here) and will be gone for 8 whole days. :-( I keep telling myself I can make it, but he's really spoiled me the last couple months with not having to travel, and helping with so much around the house. So, I apologize in advance for the extra whinging this week! The good news is, he's going to see our new rental house in San Jose and take lots of picture to send to me so I can have a better idea of where we're going to be living!
