Kinkade window card

German Phrase of the Day: Das ist eine komplizierte Frage. = This is a complicated question.

Here's a card I made when I wanted to use my new Thomas Kinkade stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I decided to try and do a monochromatic card since I wasn't feeling brave enough yet to watercolor this beauty. I stamped the image on Stamper's Select White using Ballet Blue ink. I then mounted the image on some Ballet Blue cardstock.

I didn't like the image on the front of the card, so I got the idea to put a window in the card with my Marvy Giga Square punch and mount it on the inside. I sponged some Ballet Blue around the window to give it a softer feel, and stamped the saying from last year's SAB set in Ballet Blue at the bottom of the card. I thought it went well with this image. I finished off the card with some old Silver ribbon from SU! Think I'll send this to my FIL for his upcoming birthday.

Hope you all have recovered from Christmas. We're still getting the house back to normal...but hopefully soon I'll get back upstairs to my stamp room!!

Supplies: (all supplies are SU! unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: The Good Life by Thomas Kinkade from Cornish Heritage Farms
CS: Stamper's Select white, Ballet Blue

Ink: Ballet Blue

Acc: Marvy Giga Scalloped Square punch, silver ribbon
