3D Flowers

German Phrase of the Day: Auf der Straße wieder. = On the road again. I haven't been back to my stamp room since Tuesday morning...and it's already Friday! I'm heading out this morning to drive down through the Mosel River valley and then into the champagne region of France with my girlfriend. There will be a little wine tasting along the way. ;-) We're looking forward to having a nice girls weekend like the old days. She and I have been wine tasting all over California, so it's fun to have a chance to do it here in Europe with her.

Here's a card I made for a recent swap...it had to have 3-D flowers. I love these felt flowers from SU!...the colors are so bright and cheery. And it matches this Bali Breeze paper so perfectly! I used a stem from Bodacious Bouquet and the saying is from that wonderful new Occasions Mini set Full of Life. For the leaf, I folded some Certainly Celery cardstock in half then ran it through my crimper. I cut out a leave shape, opened it up, and ran it over my Old Olive ink pad. Cool, huh? I learned that from Patti!

I'll be back on Sunday, hopefully with a new card but no guarantees - I have to help Julia pack for her 3 night "ausflug" (fieldtrip) wtih her kindergarten. I'm so excited for her, and I hope she has a marvelous time! And it means I'll have time to stamp finally!! 3 days of peace and quiet - oh my!!

On Sunday night GinaK is releasing 4 great new sets (one is a new 1 Free with 3 set!) and you are going to love these. If you haven't seen her sneak peaks yet, head on over to her blog to check them out!! I'm hoping my stamps arrive soon so I can play too!! Be sure to attend the release party in the forum over at SCS.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! And don't forget to enter for Blog Candy at my previous post - I'm giving away 2 MFT sets so your chances are pretty good!!
