German Phrase of the Day: Heute ist Mittwock. = Today is Wednesday. And you all know what that means....Prettie Wednesday! Yup, and 2 weeks ago I challenged everyone to make a baby card using Paper Prettie stamps.
I decided to use Lexie from Made with Love for my card, and I created my own sentiment on the computer. My mother doesn't like this phrase, having come from a generation where it was a bad thing...but I tried to explain that today it no longer has the same negative connotations. She still doesn't like it, but I do!
I stamped Lexie onto Stamper's Select White with my Brilliance black ink. I then colored her in with my prismacolor pencils and blended with blending stumps and OMS. For papers I used textured pearlescent paper by Bazzill that Christie sent me a few months ago...it's such luscious paper...I felt bad covering it up. But, I had to use more of my wonderful patterned paper that Julie sent me by Making Memories. Then of course, I used the matching flower accents as well. The finished card measures 5 1/4" square.
