Blog Candy....FINALLY!
I'm sorry. I teased you all with the idea of Blog Candy a while back, but I'm FINALLY ready to give some away. I actually had to search through my supplies to find something that I could part with (since it's REALLY hard to find scrappin stuff over here!!) But I hope you all will find my offering worthy!
There are some metal edged tags (all vellum) some flower eyelets, some metal embossed squares from Scrap Yard, some adorable silk leaves perfect for autumn cards, one of my photo wallets, and a few more things will be added - such as some coasters from my favorite Bier Garten and a cute notebook I'm almost done with.
How to enter? Please comment on this entry and include your favorite Valentine memory, and how you found my blog! I will be drawing from all comments left on Thursday, February 15th around noon Germany time (Meridian time +1) so get to it!
TFL!

Hi there...my favourite memory would be one of my first child-like romances at the age 9. We exchanged valentines through a mutual friend, stated that we were boyfriend and girlfriend but never actually talked...silly! I can't recall how I found your site (I look at far too many!)...if I were to guess, I would say that I found it as a link from another blog. Should there be no issue, I am going to post this contest link on my site...
ReplyDeleteI found you from Allison's blog. My fondest Valentine memory was when I was a Sophmore in high school and I gave my boyfriend a valentine that was a dog that said it was a smooch pooch and he thought it said he was a smooth pooch. He ended up being a smooth pooch & I married him 33 years ago.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
Hi there! My favorite Valentine memory is hard to chose I love them all! We pretty much do the same thing every year and I love it, we have a heart shaped pizza and other heart shaped food with the kids.
ReplyDeleteHi Jana, Allison has sent me as well! LOL I am just loving your blog...totally adorable artwork!! I'll be subscribing and checking in for sure!
ReplyDeleteA favorite v-day memory? I think it just goes back to elementary school and making those (ugly) valentine boxes and then swapping cards w/ the whole class. We would put our desks in a circle and have one big party every year. So much fun then but not all that exciting to tell about now. lol

ps...beer coasters? I'd have to cover them asap b/c if DH saw real GERMAN beer coaters I'd NEVER get my hands on them LOL LOL LOL
I found your blog through Kerry's! My favourite Valentine memory was probably in my teens when I attended a church youth group. We did a "box social" thing, dressed like the 50's and I think we watched Princess Bride! Fun memories! Although now my hubby is usually pretty great at bringing me flowers (I tell him to pick a different day so they aren't so pricey but he never does!) and we maybe do dinner :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jana,
ReplyDeleteallison pointed me in your direction,, love your blog.
My favorite valentine memory is when the boy I had a crush on (we were in 3rd grade) gave me a heart he made out of paper and ran as fast as he could away. awwwwwww those were the good old days (now I am a grandma of 5!) Thanks for making me think of that wonderful old memory,, it hadn't been drug out in a while. :)
Found you from Allison's blog. Love your site =). Favorite valentine memory...well, been single for awhile but I work in a big company that we place bets how many flowers would we get by the end of the day, proud to say that even though I don't come home with flowers on my hand, i came home 3 years in a row being the winner ;) crossing my fingers this year...hehehe,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is receiving a box of chocolates from my dad just like he gave my mom. Keep in mind, my dad passed away (1988) at the age of 41. So I miss him terribly. especially since it was 5 days after my birthday.

Hi Jana! I found your blog through Allison's. Hmm, favourite Valentine's memory would be when my then-brand-new-boyfriend-now-husband walked a very long way in the dead of winter to buy me Hershey kisses and a card. We were in university at the time and he couldn't afford a car. I was in night class and when I got back to my dorm, there were the kisses placed in a heart around a very romantic card. I'll never forget that!

Ohhh Jana...your blog candy looks yummy!!! I don't believe I really have a favorite valentine memory but I do really like the tradition of my hubby bringing home each of our daughters their own flower...it really is such a sweet moment! Of course you know how I found your blog...lol..my Diva pal!
ReplyDeleteI'll put a link to your blog candy from my Blog for you too!
I love the variety in your blog candy, but to be honest, I'd love it were all the same stuff.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite valentine memories are those in grade school, making our valentine boxes from a shoebox, crepe paper, and construction paper. Then receiving valentine cards from every member of the class.
Oh, and your mom told me about your blog!
My favorite Valentine memory is that my dad would come home with a bouquet of flowers for my stepmom and would always have a special single bloom just for me. That always made me feel so special to him :)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from Allison's and I really enjoyed exchanging valentines in elementary school. We would always get so excited!

Ok, Allison should get a prize! I found you through her too. BTW, I live in Maine! My husband grew up here (in OOB,) went to college in S.California, but we live in Maine now. Funny. . . anyway, I really don't have any great valentine memories, but I still love the holiday!
ReplyDeleteCreative Expressions by Stephanie is the blog that told me about your blog candy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Vday memory? Hmmmm, that is really difficult. I don't have one. Perhaps this year will be it? My DS is in preschool now and I am helping out for his party so this is a first for me! :D
My favorite Valentine memory was when my dad got my mom, my sister and I all flower corsages. I thought that was sweet.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Ink Artist through SCS! Love your ideas!
Emily
I found your blog through many blog sites, and my sister sent it to me today. My favorite memory of valentines day is when my dad got us all a gift and he got me pants. I was so excited!
ReplyDeleteI was only like 6 Thanks for all the cute ideas
i check it every day!!
What great blog candy! I found your blog through the Creative Expressions blog. Unfortunately I cannot share a favorite Valentine's memory. Valentine's day has not as yet been a great day in my life. (Makes me wonder) I'll try my best to make great memories for someone else (my kids!) TFS!
ReplyDeleteI think I found your blog via SCS or something like that.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite memory is my daughter (who will 34 in May) giving me a valentine. I'm sad because it has gotten lost in the many moves we've had over the years!!!
Hmmmm....my favourite valentines memories are from grade school. I just loved loved loved opening those little punch out valentines...i can still remember the smell and the feel of them! Cristina told me about you...thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteHi Jana,
ReplyDeleteYou ordered a watermark from me and I've been coming here ever since. :-) A fun valentine memory is making paper valentine pouches to hang on my desk in elementary school.
Cindy
I found your blog because of Allison-she must read every blog on the internet. I dont have a favorite valenitne memory-because I am usually home alone. But I do like to make valentines and give them away.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Stephanie's blog, so will be adding to my favourites
ReplyDeleteMy one time favourite memory of valentines was when I met my boyfriend (first boyfriend and is now my husband of 13 years!!! arh)
I went to go to work one morning (when I lived at home) and i opened up the back door and on the doorstep was a big box in a black bin liner as it was raining!!
In it was a great big cuddly "My Pet Monster" horrible blue and purple and green thing, but I thought it was the most wonderful thing I had ever had (it did have plastic cuff links on, he he he)
I found your blog from Stepanie. I am so glad that I did as you have some amazing work here. I really have no valentines memories. My husband is not one for giving gifts on any occasion so I never receive anything. We normally eat valentines day dinner by candlelight which at least sets the day apart.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog candy.
Cheryl
I found your site at Stephanies site and will be linking it on mine. My favorite valentine memory is my first date with my husband back when we were in high school. I wasn't 16 yet (2 days later I was) so we went out on a group date. It definately wasn't the most glamourous date ever but we're still together 10 years later.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines to you and your family!
I am honestly not sure who's blog I plopped over here from...I try to look at everyone side bars and end up just hopping from one place to another!
ReplyDeleteFavourite V mem...couple of years ago my the guys from my office bought a helium balloon each and attached to my chair. By the end of the morning, you couldn't see me!
YM
I also found you by way of Allison's blog! My favorite memories are those days when my Dad would send me large antimated stuffed animals. They always 'sang' and/or 'danced' amd ot dodmt matter to him that I was a grown adult...he always thought I was his 'little' girl!
ReplyDeleteLynda
Must be a lot of people perusing Allison's blog. I found your site through her too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite valentine memory is when my husband (who's not a very romantic fella) sent me flowers! Can you imagine my surprise & of course loads of tears!!! Very sweet.
My favorite Valentine memories would be when I was in public school. We'd spend a few days before the big day writing up all our cards and making sure to save the best one's for those special friends. Then the big day comes and we'd exchange our cards. It was so special at the time. Coming home with all our cards and pouring over them.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I have many good Valentine memories. I love the memories of a child getting the valentines from all your classmates. As an adult, I have been lucky enough to have had many great memories, none that are super exciting, but I have been lucky in love.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog in a roundabout way from Anna Wight. My memories from Valentines Days past is when I was in grade school and waiting to see what the boys wrote in my Valentines. Wow! Those were the days..:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I totally remember my favorite Valentine--it just happened a couple of days ago! My 6 year old kindergartner and a little boy in her class are "sweet" on each other (already!). So she reminded me it was almost Valentine's and to make sure "Cameron" remembered, she made him a Happy AlMOST Valentine's Day card and took it to school the next day!! So cute! Gotta start early putting the thoughts in the boy's heads to remember those dates! Turns out, he is the son of my UPS man!!! oi!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Valentne memory would be from 1947 when I was in the 5th grade. We made shoebox Valentine boxes and then we had a Valentine exchange. I still have some of my Valentines in a scrapbook. I wonder if they are still in one piece.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Valentine memory would have to be when my husband (boyfriend, almost fiance) asked me to a Valentine's dinner/dance/party in Haiti in 2000 -- we were both missionaries there. I thought for sure he was going to propose that night, but he didn't! (He ended up proposing 2 months later & we were married July 1, 2000.)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from "kylamaestassweetwaterstampers" who I found through splitcoaststampers. I just LOVE going on stamping adventures through cyber space!
Hi Jana,
ReplyDeleteSo, have to share the memorable moment that happened this morning . . . said "Happy Valentine's" to my hubby as he was leaving for work and he looked very surprised and sheepish and said, "What? Oh no, today's Valentine's Day! I thought it was this past weekend!" What a romantic! LOL!
Hope you fare better than me with your hubby!
Hugs,
M
I see my friend Tanis has posted, so I should, too! Hehehe. I can't recall how I found your blog...perhaps also through Allison's? My favourite Valentine memory...hmmm....perhaps the time my mother surprised me with a trip to Toronto during spring break. I think it was during Valentine's! (Don't have any romantic memories. Such is life for a single girl!)
ReplyDeleteDanke schön!
Cristina
