My page

German Phrase of the Day: In einer Stunde sind wir da. = We will be there in an hour. Well, my catalog will be here in a little more than an hour. Unfortunately, my husband's plane is about 30 minutes late, so I still have almost 3 hours to wait for my precious catalog...but I'll survive!

So...here is my page for my circle journal. On the left side I used Bashful Blue with Sahara Sand. On the sahara sand I stamped some shells and sand background from the beach set from LAST summer's mini catalog, and the palm tree from my balmy breezes set which I colored with watercolor crayons. I sponged the edges as well. Then, I sent the vellum through my printer and printed with brown ink. I attached the vellum with brads. The journaling says "There is nothing more calming than the sound of the surf. And while I love the smells of the forest and the majesty of the mountains, it is the sounds of the ocean I can not live without. So please don't fence me in." I write this because my husband and I have often spoken of different places within the US where we could live...and I joke with him that as long as the state I live in has an ocean, I'm ok.

The photo on the right side is one I took when we went to Cabo San Lucas a few years ago. The quote on it says "eternity begins and ends with the ocean's tides."

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my journal. I can't wait until Christmas time when I will get it back with everyone else's pages as well...it will be so much fun to see what other people have created.

Ok...it's back to cards for me tomorrow.

TFL!

  3. Stunning - so pretty, love the picture of the ocean. It's the only place to be, isn't it? We go down to my parents in Ocean Park (OOB) this week for a little vacation - can't wait! :)
