My Favorite Things are NEW STAMPS!

German Phrase of the Day: Meine Lieblingssachen sind neue Stempel! = the title of this post. :-) I just couldn't resist...and that's what babelfish is for, right? Actually, I did now all the words, I usually just double check for spelling, since my German spelling is even worse than my English!!

Today My Favorite Things just released 2 new adorable sets. I already have the Cowgirl set winging it's way to my in my February Paper Pretties box...will have to see if I can hold out on the other set until I have more to order...but you never know!

When I got up I checked out the party thread to see what I missed last night (another rager of course!) and then checked to see the My Favorite Guest Designer challenge. Monochromatic cards...my favorites! The first one uses Eggstra Special Easter...I just love having htis little chick trying to reach up and sniff the tulips. Isn't he adorable??

For the second project, I used the AWESOME tutorial by Melanie Muenchinger for a little tote. I mean, isn't this just super?!? And it really wasn't that hard either. I think I could crank several of these out without too much trouble. I used some textured black cs along with my berry bliss dsp.

For the scalloped piece I took the longest sentiment (flexible frieneds) and bent it around to make a circle. Gotta love acrylic stamps for their flexibility!!! I punched that out with my 1 3/8" circle punch, stamped the center piece with Purely Pomegranate, then adhered it to a round metal edged tag. Then, using some glue dots, I adhered that to a scallop punched and sponged purely pomegranate piece.

For the main image, I stamped our yoga chick with Brilliance Graphite Black onto whisper white cs, and onto 2 different patterns of Berry Bliss cs. I colored her skin and the floor, then pieced her pants and top. Then, I cut around the outer edges of the box before mounting her on some Regal Rose cs.

To finish off the purse (and keep it closed) I tied some Double Stitched Purely Pomegranate ribbon around the handles to keep it closed. What a perfect way to give someone some tea bags, or some bath salts...I love it!! Think I'll have to make a few more of these cute little totes...maybe when my new GinaK stamps arrive! :-D

Thanks for swinging by today. I'll have another Prettie Peek for you tomorrow...so be sure to come back!
