Baroque Candle

German Phrase of the Day: Viel Spass! = Have fun! This is a phrase I use quite often...usually when I leave Julia at kindergarten I will say it as I leave. And the good thing is...she usually does!

This candle is one I made very quickly as a sample to show the mom in charge of our kindergarten's booth at the Weinachtsmarkt. I wanted her to see a variety of projects I can create to sell at the booth to let her choose what she thought would work best. I probably won't make lots of these, just 5 or 10 so there will be some if people are interested. I used Baroque Motifs and River Rock and Purely Pomegranate ink for the candle itself, and then stamped the medallion in River Rock on Very Vanilla CS, stamping the small flower in the center with pomegranate, and putting in a rhinestone brad. I wrapped some purely pomegranate cardstock and river rock stitched ribbon around the candle, and then attached the paper medallion with a glue dot. All in all, this project took about 10 minutes to make, and most of that was melting the wax to get the tissue to stick on. I love making easy and so fast!

Hope you all are having a good weekend...gotta go finish up my Christmas cards!!
