
Today's card was done using sketch 157 from Splitcoast. I wanted to make a card with Knitabella for my mom - she's a knitter. I stamped her the other day when I was stamping a bunch of Bellas on watercolor paper using my Palette Noir ink.
I colored her in with an aquapainter and my watercolor wonder crayons. They are so easy to use, and I love having all the colors right in front of me! I chose colors using the Porcelain Prints paper - Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery and a tiny bit of So Saffron for the yarn. Maybe she's knitting a baby blanket (and no...that is not a hint...I am not expecting mom!)
For the sentiment, I didn't have a stamp here that I liked, so I hand wrote the sentiment with a

ReplyDeleteOh Jana, such a cutie Bella is with her needles flying. Of course, the Life is a Stitch is so very appropriate and instead of making everyone wonder - let's just tell them that it should have been "staple" since I just had about 24 in my knee because I had it totally replaced!!! Also, everybody, Jana wanted to point out I was a knitter since she is waiting for a sweater to be completed by the first of February when she comes to Florida for a warm sunny vacation. Thank you sweet "dottabella".
