Happy Winter everyone

German Phrase of the Day: Hast du Kinder? = Do you have children? I'm gonna let you all in on a big secret they have over here in Europe. They PAY you to have kids! Well, not exactly, but you do get money each month for each child you have. Is that not wild?!?

Today's card uses the brand new clear stamp set from Paper Pretties, Snowflake Kisses again. I love all the variety in this set...there are just so many different possibilities with it!

These mittens are just so much fun...and using the supplies from my November Paper Pretties box, this card came together in a snap! First I stamped the mittens using my Palette Noir ink onto watercolor paper. I colored them in using an aquapainter and my Night of Navy watercolor crayon. After they were colored, I applied some liquid applique and dazzling diamonds glitter which I puffed up with my heat tool. Then, I stamped Happy Winter (Did I tell you there are 4 different sentiments in this set?) from Snowflake Kisses with white craft ink and embossed it with white ep. I lightly sponged the edges of my watercolor paper, then layered it onto the Bazzill Great Lakes blue cardstock. Next, I punched a hole and put a silver brad in for the mittens to hang off.

For the card base, I started with my Bazill Lavender Twilight card, then I lightly sponged the Paper Salon snowday plaid cardstock before adhering it. Lastly, I popped the central image up on pop dots. I think this card took me all of 10 minutes to make. I just love it when cards come together quickly and easily...and it helps when you've got a fun, versatile set to start with!
