SC115 - Petals and Paisleys fun!

I really enjoyed yesterday's sketch challenge, because I was able to cheat and use my new designer paper which I love so much!

My wonderful friend and downline Michelle had sent me this adorable butterfly made with the Paisley from Polka Dots & Paisley last month, but I couldn't decide what to do with it. When I started working on this card I looked over at a pile of stamped images waiting to be used and there it was...the perfect replacement for the sample card's flower! I also wanted to use the paisley on the piece for underneath...so the ghosting technique came to mind (I'm starting to love my brayer again!)

This was a pretty quick card, and I'm quite happy with the results!

Supplies:
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley
Paper: Petals and Paisleys, Pretty in Pink, Tempting Turquoise, whisper white, glossy white
Ink: tempting turquoise, cool carribbean, pretty in pink, versamark
Accessories: white narrow organdy ribbon, HPH, irridescent ice ip, dimensionals

TFL!

  2. Very pretty card Jana! I love the idea for the butterfly. I've played around with making a heart from the paisley but nothing solid yet- this is so cute!

  3. I think the butterfly is so pretty & sparkles are always a nice touch. Hmmm, I haven't played with my brayer for quite sometime (I'll have to pull it out & play soon).
