German phrase of the day: Willst du mich auf den Arm nehmen? = Are you pulling my leg? (literally translated: Do you want to lift me in your arm?)I made this card last year for the contest SU! had for demos using the new hostess sets. I HAD to have the A is for Adorable set as soon as I saw it thinking of all the wonderful scrapping things I could do with it.
I got the inspiration for this card from some really cool patterned paper I had seen, and I wanted to imiatate that look with stamps. It was a lot of work with the Stamp-a-ma-jig, but I think the everall effect was worth it.
Colors used were: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, Only Orange and Pink Passion. Hmmm...might have to find this set and play some more, I just love those flowers from Burst into Bloom!!

ReplyDeleteLove the banner and the card! Is that faux SEI paper? I think I have some - think I'll just stick to using the paper though - if a stamp-a-ma-jig is involved then it's got to be too much like hard work :o)
