Color Challenge card #2

I made this card for CC#108 this week. I decided to try swiping a classic inkpad over my cuddled cardstock this time to see how it would turn out - and I like it! It gives a little messier look than with the craft, but I think it still turns out ok.

I painted this stampingbella with reinker and ink from my inkpad lids - I wanted a little stronger color than I can usually get from my WW crayons, and I wanted a little more translucence than they give. My biggest mistake was coloring her shoes before her legs were dry...she's got a little pink bleed going up her calves there. Oh well! Guess I got impatient as usual!

I was going to add some hardware or something to this card to give it a little more oomph, but couldn't figure out what or where, so decided to leave well enough alone. What do you all think? I guess I could add a bookplate with a greeting in the lower right corner. Will have to think on that.

I can't show you the first card I made for CC108 this week, because I'm sending it to someone special for her birthday, and since she reads my blog I don't want her to see it before it arrives. However, I will share it in a week or two.

Stamps: StampingBella

  1. Jana,

I love the way the background turned out. Needless to say your "Bella" is beautiful. I think I'm breaking down and having to buy a cuttlebug. :)
